Cupping
Cupping describes a treatment using negative pressure. Glass jars are placed on the skin. Sometimes the skin is oiled beforehand and massaged with cupping glasses.
Cupping has been known for many hundreds of years in various healing traditions. In Chinese medicine, the cupping glasses are placed on acupuncture points in order to dissolve blockages, increase blood circulation, and stimulate the immune system and organs. It is also an effective method for stimulating detoxification processes.
I often use a cupping massage on the upper back for treatment of the colds. From the point of view of Chinese medicine, cold and wind have penetrated the body in the common cold and can thus be diverted again.
Cupping can be used as a single treatment or in combination with acupunktuce, Gua Sha and moxa.
