Gua Sha
Gua Sha is an ancient technique that "scrapes" rounded objects such as animal horns over oiled skin.
This leads to desired petechia on the skin (such as hickeys). Single points or entire track sections are "scraped". This has various effects: blood circulation is stimulated, pathogens can be excreted and detoxification processes initiated, the metabolism is stimulated, muscle tissue is loosened, and tensions are thus released.
Gua Sha can be used as a single treatment or in combination with acupuncture, moxa and cupping.
